Few years ago, I met a group of very young insurance agent. They will walk up to u , tap/grab ur arms and say " hey long time no see u, u always come this area?" . They will pretend to be ur long lost friend just to sell u insurance. I wonder this group is still around? Last seen at amk hub.
They are present in majority of the mrt stations in the heartlands/shopping areas as well - see Dhoby Ghaut (entrace to PS), Aljunied, Punggol.
The irritating thing is, they most probably rented a space... so it's impossible to "chase" them out. All thanks for SMRT's commitment to its shareholders.. more income opportunities = more profits.
